Casting system classification
According to the different casting system type can be divided into three categories of plastic molds:
(1) Large spout mold: runner and gate in the parting line, with the product in the mold opening together with the demolding, the design is simpler, easy to process, lower cost, so more people use the large spout system operation. Plastic mold structure is divided into two parts: moving mold and fixed mold. With the injection machine activities for the moving part of the mold (mostly for the ejector side), in the injection machine injection side is generally inactive called fixed mold. Because of the large spout mold mold part of the fixed mold generally consists of two pieces of steel plate, so there are also known as this type of structural mold for the two-plate mold. The two-plate mold is the simpler structure of the large spout mold.
(2) Fine spout mold: runners and sprues are not in the mold line, generally directly on the product, so we need to design more than one set of spout mold line, the design is more complex, processing is more difficult, generally depending on the product requirements and the choice of fine spout unity. Fine spout mold part of the mold is generally composed of three pieces of steel plate, so there are also called such structural mold for the "three-plate mold". The three-plate mold is a relatively simple structure of the fine water mouth mold.
(3) Hot runner mold: this type of mold structure and fine spout is largely the same, the difference is that the runner is in one or more thermostatic hot runner plate and hot water spout, no cold material demolding, runners and sprues directly on the product, so the runners do not need to be demolded, this system is also known as the no-water spout system, which saves raw materials, is suitable for the raw material is more expensive, the product requirements of the case of the higher, the design and processing difficulties, the mold cost is high. This system is also known as waterless system, which can save raw material. Hot runner system, also known as hot sprue system, mainly consists of hot sprue sleeve, hot sprue plate, temperature control electric box. Our common hot runner system has two forms: single point hot gate and multi-point hot gate. Single point hot gate is to use single hot gate sleeve to directly inject the molten plastic into the cavity, which is suitable for single cavity and single gate plastic molds; Multi-point hot gate is to branch the molten material to each sub-hot gate sleeve through the hot sprue plate and then enter into the cavity, which is suitable for single-cavity and multi-point feeding or multi-cavity molds.
